October 2018: Kickoff workshop of KBT Initiative at Berkeley

The kickoff workshop of the KBT initiative was held on October 9-11, 2018 in the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing at UC Berkeley.

The kickoff workshop's program brought together 27 senior researchers from UCB and TAU, including nine TAU researchers who flew to Berkeley especially for the workshop. The participants presented their research in diverse areas of computational biology and bioinformatics. The program was of very high quality and many discussions followed each talk. A social program allowed additional interactions and establishing of new partnerships.
