On April 6 2022 the KBT Initiative hosted a seminar, as part of the joint seminar series between the Center of Computational Biology at UC Berkeley and the Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics at TAU.
The guest speaker was Prof. Nir Yosef, Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, UC Berkeley and Department of Systems Immunology, Weizmann Institute of Science. He gave an exciting talk titled "Mapping paths of tumor evolution with single cell phylogenetics". In his presentation, Prof. Yosef described how by combining novel biotechnological and computational methods he could trace the lineage of cancer cells at the single cell level.
The talk, attended by some forty researchers of the biomedical and bioinformatics community at TAU, was followed by Q&A.
